Working with WI CBT Center

For Professionals

Academic education lays the groundwork for how we engage as mental health practitioners. After graduation, many of us continue our training through attending workshops, reading, and self-reflection. These practices can be enhanced by establishing a professional relationship with another practitioner that is focused on helping you improve.

Through consultation, you'll receive tailored guidance to integrate new skills and knowledge into your everyday practice. Consultation offers a safe and open space to assess your abilities and build upon them. Whether you are expanding your "therapy toolkit" or seeking specific feedback on a complex matter, our team at the Wisconsin CBT Center wants to support your goals.

Our Team

Edwin Bacalso, MSW, LCSW

Clinical Social Worker and Co-founder

Developing our identities and skills as mental health providers is a life-long journey. We routinely ask ourselves how can I improve? what else do I need to know? am I doing enough? My goal is to support aspiring, new, and seasoned therapists alike in navigating this endeavor,  helping them cultivate their own theoretical orientation and develop the skills to deliver therapy with confidence and passion.

My own therapeutic practice is explicitly CBT in orientation. But understanding why we provide "mental health treatment" is necessary to ground ourselves in work that is both meaningful and ethical. Our professional values and theories on mental health need to align with what we do in the real world to help others. I have had a personal interest in psychotherapy research, theory, and practice for years and am still ecstatic to learn and share in this with others.

Deidre Marsh, MSW, LCSW

Clinical Social Worker and Co-founder

As therapists, working with those experiencing PTSD can be challenging, even for seasoned practitioners. With training in Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) and Prolonged Exposure (PE), I developed the PTSD Recovery Program at Ascension CSM Ozaukee hospital where I am both a therapist and an evaluator of outcomes.

I offer consulting services to help you refine your skills in assessing and treating PTSD. My approach is tailored to your specific needs with a focus on measurable outcomes evidencing your competence as a professional.

I believe in fostering a collaborative and supportive environment where we can explore best practices and address challenges together. Let’s work together to enhance your therapeutic expertise and ensure your clients receive the best possible care.
